Why We Chose
Rappahannock County .
When ready to enter that pe. riod of life that Walter Pitkin calls “The Best Tears,” after ——roaming oxer the face of the earth, we decided to settle in Rap- jjahannock county.
We Iptd lived in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, California, New ..York, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, , Shanghai, China,, Berlin, Germany , and Geneva, Switzerland. We had -seen the beauties of Japan, spent our vacations in the lofty Alps of Switzerland, enjoyed the balmy winters of Alabama and Mississippi, travelled over Central Europe and in England. But when the time came to settle down for the period of life that should bring happiness and tranquility, we turned .our faces to Rappahannock county, where we had spent many happy days and where we could count many kindly friends.
In addition to good friends^ without which life can his very ' barren, we chbse this section for other reasons. Ono it the beautiful, ever-changing scenery, of
