the 17th of March Betty. Lou Rutherford, Tiny Gentry and Catherine Carter went along with the Home Agent to Culpeper to participate in an Area 4-H contest. Betty Lou entered the Food Preparation contest. She gave an excellent demonstration on how to make "Baked Custard”, and placed second in the area. Catherine Carter displayed a beautifully made summer cotton and placed third in the Clothing Area contest. Tiny Gentry entered the Room Improvement contest. She gave a demonstration on how^o^'Braid a Rug”. Tiny placed second in the area. We are all so proud of these girls. They are doing excellent 4-H work. ' The Huntly Home Demonstration Club met with Miss Pauline Rutherford on March 20. Business was taken up first, conducted by the president of the club, Mrs. Lewis Harrison. It was decided to have a party at the Reager school for the children in April. A collection was taken up for Nickels for Friendship. This money goes toward sending a delegate to the National HD Organization meeting from Virginia. A demonstration was given on "The Part Walls Play in Living Room Color 'Schemes and Wall Finishes” by Miss Pauline Rutherford and Mrs. Pearl Mills. Tasty refreshments were served by the hoBtess.

Mrs. G. W. Smith was hostess to the Flint Hill HD club, March 20. A collection was taken for Nickels for Friendship. The agent gave a report to the group of Farm Home Account Books kept in Virginia during 1950. Final plans were ma<Je for the Flint Hill Easter Egg Hunt. A demonstration was given on living room color schemes and wall finishes. Mrs. Smith served the group a delicious fruit balad. Next month the club will me*et with Miss Ruth Stevens and Mrs. J. P. Cook and Miss Stevens will give the demonstration.
