high. The purpose of this planned confusion is to MU the issue at the next Board of Supervisors meeting. The issue that the Board of Supervisors will have to vote on at-the next meeting, April II, will be whether or hot to authorise the School Board to borrow the necessary funds, not to exceed 1125,000.06 from the Literary Fund to construct the new building. The tax rate will not be affected until a full pear after construction has begun. Payment on the loan will not be due until the county has had the use of the money for a year. There will be no new increase in taxes for the constructkm of the new school this year. If the issue for the new building is killed at this meeting, we can expect the idea to be dropped until we are forced by law to do something about it.
Let the county citisens arouse themselves end take notice of those who are giving the strongest and loudeet voice against a new school building. Wouldn’t the -majority fit this group fall into two categories? Those who do nob have any children and those who 'are able to send their children to prep schools to finish their high school? It doesn’t make sense to most good business people, why those who send their children to prep school would rather pay 12000.00 per year per child to an outer county institution, than to pay out a lesser amount into the county. The proposed new building will net cost the largest taxpayer over the period of thirty years, as much as it would cost to send one child one year to prep school. If the new building was a reality, the privileged child would not only have the advantage of just one .or two good years of good schooling, but it would have the benefit of five years of good schooling.
