Firemen’s Banquet
The annual banquet honoring the Rappahannock Volunteer Fire Department on Friday was pronounced a success. This “get together” each year seems to stimulate and entourage the members to go forward.
William F. Moffett, Jr., the toastmaster, was true to form (a Rappahannock man) with his eyes glancing at the kitchen door, "Billy” did not refrain from uttering his thoughts; as the first waitress entered, he exclaimed, “Here comes the banquet and here's when I sit down.”
