Street Light Notice
There are eight street lights in Flint Hill, each costing $16.88 per year, making a 'total of $135. annually. The biil each month is $11.25. It takes more than the $3 assessed five families to pay for one street light.
In 1952^ in October there was no money in the Street light fund to pay for the lights for the rest of the year. Some people did not pay and it was discussed raising the annual fee to $4. Rather than do this, the PTA paid the street lights for the balance of 1952 and set the amount again for $3 in 1953. If everyone receiving notices pays $3, we will have $135 exactly.
Notices have been sent out to all people reminding them that the street light funds are due. If you have not paid, please pay Mrs. Buddy Moore, as soon as possible.—Contributed

Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Merrill had as their dinner guests Saturday evening Mr. Merrill’s immediate family, Mrs. M. M. Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hill, Miss Anne Merrill, all from Bennings, Md., Mrs. T. H. Carrico of Nokesville and Earl D. Merrill, director of Commercial Research Division of the Republic Steel Inc. of Cleveland.

Mr. and Mrs. E W. Gore, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow, Mr. and Mrs. J E. Wayland and son, Chucky and Henry Brown were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Maury Brown Tuesday night. On Wednesday Mr. Brown returned to McGuire hospital in Richmond. He was accompanied by Mrs. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown, who returned to their respective homes later in the vening.
