Rev. David Menchhofer was a dinner guest of the Misses Hkt on Sunday. Miss Nettie Bontz, who has been spending a month with Miss Ebba Hitt and sisters left on Saturday for home in Gaithersburg, Md. The Misses Hitt drive to her home with her, returning to Sperryville in the afternoon. Ann Yates Aylor is spending some time at the Lee Highway Hotel with her grandmother, Mrs. Delia Howard and Mrs.'Yates. Mrs. R. E. Wood and Mrs. Z. H. Sealock motored to Luray Friday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey Jr., were guests on Saturday night of Mrs. Coffey’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers of Flint Hill. On Sunday they visited their brother-inlaw and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Corder at Huntly. Walter N. Rector was an overnight guest on Saturday of his grandson, Lyle Rector and Mrs. Rector of Flint Hill. Mrs. Maury W, Brown and her son, Allen Brown visited her mother, Mrs. W. A. DeShazo in King George on Sunday. Miss Jean Brown was a guest for the day of her cousin, Miss Mary Helen Bruce. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Smith were Sunday guests of Mrs. Helen Bruce at ^Barlow.”
Among those from Sperryville who were in Luray on Sunday to attend the funeral of their kinsman, Glendon Fox, who died suddenly at his home in Fredericksburg Friday, were Mrs. Annie M. Welch and son,in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin, Mrs. David Anderson,Mrs. James Clater, Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Atkins, Mrs. Ethel Clater, Mr. and Mrs. James Atkins and Clyde Atkins. Mrs. 'Lucile Herndon Eheart and her daughter, Miss Madeline Eheart of Arlington were week-end gusts of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Singleton. Mrs. Thomas E. Hudson, who has been the guest of .relatives in Charlottesville, is spending sometime with Miss Louise O’Baimon. Recent week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Clater were members of their family which included Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clater and children, Miss Patsy Clater, Bobby and Richard Cater, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Cater and three children of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. James Corbett of Washington, D. C arrived Monday for a visit with their uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs. Clater Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martin of Martinsburg, West Virginia spent the week end with Mrs. Martin’s mother and grandmother, Mrs. Annie M. Welch and Mrs. Ernest Dodson.
