Flint Hill Deacons
The Rev. G. M. Profitt of the Hint Hill Baptist church conducted the ordination service for the incoming deacons at the 11 un. services on Sunday. The subject of Mr. Profitt's sermon was "Putting Out From the Land.” He was asisted in the ordaining of Miss Ruth Stevens, Mrs. Lewis Moore and Jacob Williams as the present deacons, James F Massie, Earl Edmonds, David Corbin, William Gilbert, Brue Wood and ■Charles Wood.
Mrs. Charles Wood had charge of the decoration of the church for this service. Her color scheme was orange, green, and white, which was carried out in a most appropriate and impressive manner by using the subject of the message.

It was revealed today that T/Sgt. Charles R. Lewis, USAF, son of Mrs. Virginia Lewis, Sperryville, is stationed at this vast, new, top-ofthe-world Air Base. His Assignment as NCOIC, Commissary has until now been cloaked in the secrecy which has protected the building of this vital outpost in the Air Defense of the United States. Multi-million dollar Thufe Air Base is the farthest north of all Air Force installations, a scant 930 icy miles from the North Pole.
