Monday, July 20—Huntly H. D. meeting at the home of Mrs. Barbara Gentry at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 21—Flint Hill H.D. meeting at the home of Mrs. Wallace Sisk at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22—Fodderstack H. D. at the home of Mrs. Clabert Smoot at 2 p.m.
Friday, July 24—Tour to Fletcher’s Mill for breads group at 10 a.m.
The district camp will be held the week of August 3-8. Rappahannock' will camp with Page, Warren and Clark. Projects must .be completed before attending camp and records in' my office.
A joint planning meeting for both boys and girls was held Tuesday, July 7 to select 4-H projects to be given this fall. Miss Hollie Hughes, state club agent, talked on program planning to the • group. Miss Eva Minix, district agent, and Miss Hollie Hughes helped with selection of projects.
4-H’ers giving reports from their clubs were: Elizabeth Latham, Amissville; Lucy Lillard and Jean Lillard, Flint Hill; Carolyn Williams, Reager; Margel Dulaney, Woodviile; Lelia Gentry, . VY ashington; Peachy Lyne, Sperry-’ ville; Betty Sisk, Sperryville III; Walter B. Kilby, beef heifer; Jacob Sisk, fait pig; Glen Updike, corn; Kelly Updike; Randall Updike, sheep; _Girls - acting as group discussion leaders were Lelia Gentry, Faye! Black, and Caroletta Gough. A lamp shade making demonstration was held at the home of Rachel Deal, Thursday morning. This is part of her room improvement project.
Mrs. Lucia Kilby entertained the Sperryville H. D. group on Wednesday evening. Two expressed desire to aittend Rural Institute in Blacksburg. The demonstration was on the making of salads.
Mrs. Joe Hitt was hostess to the Amissville H D. club on Wednesday afternoon. One lady hopes to go to Rural Institute. Their demonstration was on Finishes for the Better Dress, and belts and buckles. F. T. Valley club hostess for July was Mrs. C. R. Hite. During business! the club voted on the “Continuing (Education Building” The demonstration was on freezing of meats and prepared meals.
