Robbery Charges
Sent to Grand Jury
The case against Henry Brown Jenkins, Bob Richard Nichols, and Charles Weldon Sisk, charged with felonious assault and robbery, on R. L. Jones, of Spotsylvania county, was heard in Trial Justice Court, Monday, July 33, and sent on to grand jury.
R. L. Jones, of Spotsylv'ania, appeared in Court with a bandaged arm, stating that he had received a broken arm and dislocated shoulder at the hands of the three, Jenkins, Nichols, and Sisk, on the night of July 4. He said he was beaten and robbed in an apple orchard in the F.T. Valley section of the county.

Commonwealth vs. H. M. Venie of Front Royal, reckless driving; fined $10 and costs.
Commonwealth vs. Joseph Pendleton, of Huntly, reckless driving; fined $10 and costs..
Commonwealth vs. C. H. Truslow, driving without license, $5 and cost. (Assumed Army permit was good in Virginia.) Also $15 and costs for charge of disorderly conduct, and ordered by Court to stay away from the property and family of E. W. Green.
Commonwealth versus Henry Brown Jenkins, of WoodVille, no operator’s license; fined $10 and costs, 90 days in jail; repeat offense.
Commonwealth vs. E. R. Combs, charged operating vehicle on highway under influence of intoxicant, fined $100 and costa, SO days suspended upon good behavior for 12 months, license revoked. Case appealed. Appeal noted and granted July 13 to Circuit Court.
Commonwealth vs. F. E. Monroe, of Nethers, no operator’s license; $5 and costs.
Commonwealth vs. Peter Carter of RFD-2 Wairenton, reckless driving, $15 and costs.
Commonwealth vs. Eddie Sisk, drunk in public, $10 and costs.
