Holds Conference
The midwinter conference of The Episcopal Churchmen of the Diocese of Virginia will be held at “Roslyn” near Richmond oft February 13th and 14th. The president of the organization, Dr. Percy H., Warren, of Harrisonburg, will preside. The? theme for the conference is “The Lawman Has a Ministry.”
Dr. Clark G. Kuebler, president of Ripon College, Ripon, Wisconsin, will deliver the main address. Dr. Kuebler did his undergraduate work at Northwestern University and received the doctorate from the University of Chicago. He has also .done graduate work at Princeton and at Munick ill Germany.
Following graduation ‘ from Northwestern, Dr. Kuebler became an instructor in classics there, and later became an assistant professor, continuing in that position until he went to Ripon College as president in 1943.
From 1943-47, Dr. Kuebler was a member of the board of directors of Education for Freedom. He served as a member of the National Council of the Episcopal church from 1946 .through 1952 and of the National Commission on Strategy and Policy i of the church from 1940-1943. He is nationally recognized one of the most able and eloquent laymen in the Episcopal Church.
