Mrs. Barbara Gentry-, federation goal chairman, conducted the program lor Huntly H L) club Monday evening. The federation g>al is “Citizenship” stressing especially the study of” the state government. A movie was used as a summary.
The group welcomed Mrs. Lewds Harr,son. Reager school thanked the members for the presents of crayrons, pencils and paper given them at Christmas. .Mrs. Wade Pollen entertained-Fbnt - Hid H D club at the home of Miss Ruth Stevens Tuesdays, evening. Mrs. Paul Miller, federation goal chairman, conducted the program on “Citizenship.'’ A study of the state government was made and ended by the movie, “The State Legislature.”
Mrs. Aileen Johnson was hostess for Sperryville H D club Wednesday evening. Mrs. Anne Thompson lead the club in a study of the state government and the Citizenship-Federation Goal.
Mrs. Clarence Baldwin entertained the Fodderstack H D club Wednesday. The group welcomed Mrs. Arthur Smoot. A study of Functiosn of the State Government was made wth a movie on how a law is made being showrn. Points of federation goal and “Citizenship” were discussed.
Shirley Fincham conducted the opening devotional at Belle Meade 4-H club. Two members purchased “4-H Member’ signs. Leroy Jenkins and Shirley FinCham were appointed as a committee to make plans for National 4-H club week. The 4-H projecr"woTk wtrs oirthe t'pic“Good Manners in the Home.”
Sperryville I 4-H met Tuesday. A newr memlier for this group was Nancy Wood. Frances Foster was appointed secretary. Three members purcha>ed 4-H member signs. 4-H club committee Good Manners was the theme of project work at this meeting. * - Sperryville 11 met Tuesday. Four members purchased “4-H signs.” The National 4-H club committee appointed Nancy Brown, Shirley Smoot, Jackie Rutherford and Guy Standish. Mary Lou Davis, program chairman, gave a good talk on “Good Manners.” The project work for the girls was on “How to Select and F'rame a Picture” for "their room.
