Miss Jo Ellen Worth was awarded the Bachelor of Science Degree and Miss Phyllis Updike, a Secretarial Diploma in commencement exercises at Madison College in Harrisonburg, Sunday, May 30 at 3 p.m. Miss Worth, daughter of Mrs. E. B. Cary of Washington, was quite active in both the scholastic and social life on the college campus. Following her first love, she joined the Glee Club as a freshman and throughout her four years as a student, was looked upon as one of Madison’s most popular soloist, participating in musical programs both on the campus and in Harrisonburg and community. As a senior she sang as soloist with the Presbyterian Church choir. v

Jo is a member of Pi Kappa Sigma, and past social chairman of the Panhellenic Council. She participated in the activities of the honorary sororiety, Sigma Phi Lamda for two years, and was a
