As a “newcomer or outlander” I resent the implication that I am a “blowhard”; that I have-been “patting myself on the back,” or that I have any “hard earned laurels.”
On 26 May, 1954, I submitted my resignation as Treasurer of the Department, effective as of the date of the next annual election of officers 2 June, 1954 with the statement that I did not desire to be re-elected and with recommendation that a resident of the com-* munity and member of the Department with longer residence , and service be elected my successor.
