member of the Department than a short-time resident such as myself.
Respectfully,
L. B. Stuart Treasurer, Amissville VFD
As President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Amissville Volunteer
my attention that there has lately been considerable misunderstanding among members of the Department and the Auxiliary concerning the recent addition of' an electric refrigerator to the kitchen’s equipment of the Fire Hall.
It having been suggested that such a refrigerator be obtained, a special meeting of the Auxiliary was called on May 19, 1954. The suggestion was voted down by a large majority of the members present who felt the available funds should be retained to assist in the purchase of the new fire truck presently on order.
Later an anomymous donor or donors, bought the refrigerator and moved it into the Fire Hall kitchen on May. 24, 1954 without cost to the Department or the Auxiliary.
By this notice J not only here ftffclain the circumstances of the acquisition of the new refrigerator, but also desire to publicly express the hearty thanks of the workers of the Auxiliary and myself for this valuable gift. 7
