Carder—Latham
The wedding of Miss Ann Mason Latham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C Latham, and Rev. Harold Carder, took place in Amissville Baptist church on Thursday, *Junc 17 at 12 o’clock noon with the Reverend Franklin * Cale officiating and using the double ring ceremony. The church was lighted with candles and decorated with palms, ferns, and baskets of white gladiolus and pom-poms. Miss 'Evelyn Guinn played organ selections and Miss Lois Domazet sang “Because.” The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, A. C. Latham, Jr„ wore a ballerina length gown .of nylon satin made **with a basque'" bodice "trimmed with lace. She Carried an arm bouquet of gardenias. Her shoulder length veil fell from a cluster of lily-of-the-valley.
Mrs. W. L. Payne, who was matron of honor for her sister, - was dressed in rose taffeta and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers. - Mrs. Robert Reese as bridesmaid wore a green taffeta gown and carrjed mixed lowers.
Best man for the groom was Howard Lum of Petersburg and .ushers were J. R. Latham and Abert Carder. ' ' Mrs. Latham1, mother of the b’ride wore a dress of navy blue crepe with pink accessories and wore a corsage of pink .roses, ^ ^ ^ ' Mrs. Carder, the groom’s mother was dressed in navy blue with blue and white accessories. -
A luncheon for the immediate families and wedding party was held at the home of the bride’s parents with Mrs. J. R. Latham presiding at the punch bowl. --
For traveling the bride wore a navy blue dress with white accessories.
After a short * trip to Virginia Beach, Rev. and Mrs. Carder will make their home in Culpeper. -
