Beef cows usually sell bdtter than heifers during the summer. The further fact that Virginia beef producers are trying to build up herds of younger, more efficient brood cows by getting rid of less desirable old cows in the fall should be an added if&entive for dairy farmers to sell culls before the expected fall run of beef * _cattle develops. - v .
