While in Williamsburg the group plans to tour the old. buildings and see the play “Common Glory.” Any persons desiring to attend please contact my office. *
Seven 4-H boys and girls left Monday morning for State Shortcourse to be held at VPI this week. , 4-H’ers attending the short course are: Paula Miller, Lelia Gentry, Ann Yates, Betty Rutherford, Kelly Updike, and Newbill Miller. During the week Lelia will enter the state home improvement contest and Ann and Betty, will sing a duet in the State r “Share the Fun” Contest.
Mrs. Joe Jenkins entertained Flint Hill H D Club Tuesday evening. Mrs. Frank Cary led the group in program planning discus- ^ sion. Candy A making was demonstrated* by making candy apples, and sugared almonds. The H D ladies contributed their favorite candy recipe to the group. -
Mrs. Ann Ay lor was hostess in Sperryville H D Club. During the business session the Ruritan Supper was planned.
Topic for the demonstration was Salad Making and Potato Salad and Blueberry mold were made.
