school session. In school, George was a good student, well liked by teachers and pupils, both t>f whom enjoyed his not too frequent* flashes of keen humor.
After enlisting in the Army, Stfuder served for sometime as a private, but this soldier would never be satisfied with unused talents. 'A short three years after being accepted for Officer Training School, George was promoted to first lieutenant. On a recent visit to Rappahannock County High School to visit relatives and old teachers, Lieut. Struder was accompanied by his wife, who, with two young children and his mother and father and sister, survive. All these relatives live in Maryland. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis and son, Richard, of Castleton attended the last rites, conducted in Baltimore, on May 5.
