Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ruther■ ford and children, Joe, Bill, Donnie and Betty and Billy Bruce, of Washington, D. C. were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dodson at Amissville.

Harry Rutherford, Miss Betty < Rutherford and Billy Bruce shop,, ped in Front Royal, Monday afternoon.

. Mr. and Mrs. Lester L. Yates and their two small daughters, Janet and Lois were at Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church on Saturday and Sunday to be present for the service at the annual union meeting.

J. B. Johnson, his son and ^laughter-indaw, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Jr., of Alexandria attended the Kentucky Derby in •Louisville on Saturday. Mrs. Johnson spent the week end in Madison with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Payne. On Sunday, Mrs. Fred Schaefer and her two daughters, Edna Yates and Susan were dinner guests" of her sister, Mrs. Payne and Mrs. Johnson returned with her.

Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. Fred Schaefer and Mrs. B. M. Varner were in Charlottesville on Monday where Mr. Pillar goes to University Hospital for treatment of an injured foot.

Mrs. Kate Hudson of Charlottesville is visiting Miss .Louise O'Bannon.
