Philip Read Slaughter, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Slaughter of Rappahannock County, died at his home in Washington, D. C-, April 26, aft«r a short illness. Mr. Slaughter was bom at the ancestral Slaughter home “The Oaks”, in Rappahannock on April 13, 1884.
Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson Slaughter, a native of Amissville; three sons, Warren, Thomas and Philip; one daughter, Mrs. Sue Stables; .two brothers. Allie Slaughter of Washington, and Gibbon of West Va.; also by several, nieces and nephews of Rappahannock and Front Royal.
