She carried a white prayer book topped with Lillies of the Valley and a white orchid. Miss L. Jean Brown, sister of the bride, maid of honor, wore • a dress of blue nylon and carried an arm bouquet of mixed flowers. The bridesmaids were Miss Barbara i June Black of Richmond, Miss Joyce Ann Bowling of Fredericksburg and Miss Margy Dodson of Baltimore. They wore ballerina length dresses of yellow nylon and carried spring flowers. Robert F. Estes, uncle of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Leonard Carlyle Bunting of Highland Springs, Charles Edward Payne of Arlington and Henry Bernard Wood of Woodville.
Mrs. Brown wore for her daughter’s wedding a dress of light blue nylon with navy accessories with a corsage of pink roses. Mrs. Swindler was dressed in mauve nylon with pink accessories and wore a corsage of white roses.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was given by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Swindler. Iq the receiving line with the bridal party Were Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Swindler, mothers of the bride and groom. The reception rooms were decorated with attractive arrangements of spring garden flowers.
