at a dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Beard honoring their aunt, Miss Nettie Bontz on her 80th birthday anniversary. Miss Bontz returned to Sperryville on Sunday evening with Miss Hitt and will be her guest for some time.

Week-end guests at Rock Villa, the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown, were Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown, Jr., and daughters, Susan and Margaret Brown of Charlottesville, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Brown and son of Leesburg, Mrs. Mary Thornhill of Glasgow, who is remaining for a longer visit. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Brown and their house guests, Rev. and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson, Ann Rodes Thompson and Mrs. Mildred Thornton were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton at their home in the country.
