In fact, Woodson said h#'s ordered the State police to stop using the word accident and to substitute the word crash.

The great majority of crashes are traced to human failings, Groth and Lamb said—most o f which are due to a callous disregard for the rights and safety of other users of the streets and highways.

“Yet other drivers are not, as many motorists seem to think actually trespassing on the motorists' road,’’ Lamb said.

Most think an accident coul d never happen to them, Lamb said.

“And deep down in their hearts they don't care what happens to the other person,” he added
