Bunting — Black
The Sperryv'ille Methodist Church, tastefully decorated with palms, white lillies, and cathedral candles, was the scene Saturday, September 10, at 4:00 p.m. of the wedding of Miss Barbara June Black, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garland Mayfield Black, of Sperryville, and Leonard Carlyle Bupting, son of Mrs. Cecil Claytor Bunting, of Highland Springs, Virginia. The Reverend Anderson Goodson performed, the ceremony.
Jack Brown of Leesburg sang "Because” preceeding the ceremony and the “Lord’s Prayer” at the close of the ceremony. Mrs. C. ;E. Johnson. Jr., played the traditional wedding marches, processional and recessional.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of lace and tulle, fashioned with an offshoulder. effect formed by a sheer yoke, long tapering sleeves and a fitted bodice. The full tulle skirt which formed a wide circular train was trimmed in appliques of",lace. Her veil of imported illusion fell from a lace edged Juliet cap. She carried a prayer book with orchids.
Mrs. James A. Sisk of Baltimore, Maryland, was her sister's patron of Honor, wearing a ballerina length gown of blue tissue taffeta with a matching headress. Her bouquet was of mixed garden flowers. *
