’ Bob Swindler of Brentwood, Maryland was a week-end guest of his grandmother and aunt, Mrs., O. B. Swindler and Min Barbara Swindler. ' «Mr. and Mrs. James Sisk and baby and Mr. and Mrs. James Dodson of Baltimore, Maryland spent the week end at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Black to be present at the : Bunting—Black wedding.

Miss Patricia Reeve was an overnight guest of Min Dolly Smith in the* home of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Brown.

Among those in Culpeper Sunday afternoon to see the movie, “A Man Called Peter*’ were Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hawkins and family, Misses Bernice, Joan and Joyce Net hers, Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer, Edna Yates and Susan Schaefer, Linda Lou Dodson and Mrs. J. B. Johnson.

Miss Mary Jane Morris of Charlottesville was a guest last week end of Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton. On Saturday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Thornton and P. Lee III, Miss Morris, Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown, Jr. were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Downing Wood.

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cornell were hosts to a dinner party at their summer home Saturday even, ing having as their guests, Mr. and Mrs. JT. J. Pillar, Miss Pillar, Miss Beverly Blade and Mr. and Mrs W, B. Mobley of Washington, D. C.

Miss Ruth Menefee joined a party of friends in Washington, D. C. last week for a motor trip to Canada. ,

T/Sgt. A. Lee Swindler, Jr., who has been stationed in South Carolina, is spending a furlough at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Swindler. Mrs. Swindler spent last week in town with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Netus H. Brown. T/Sgt. and Mrs. Swindler will leave next week for his new assignment in • Connecticut.

Week-end and Sunday guests of Mrs. Perle Coffev were her sons and daughter-in-law, S/3c and Mrs. F. D. Coffev and son of Hampton, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Muterspangle and their daughter. Miss Ravonda Muterspangle of Arlington.
