Alther Killed As Car Overturns At Beech Spring Church
George William Alther 22, was killed instantly'12:30 Friday morning in an automobile accident 2x/% miles west of Sperryville, on Rt. 211. The car failed to make the curve at Beech Spring C lurch and flipped over pinning Alther, the driver, and John Clatterbuck under it.
Tourists going by lifted tl|e car from the men and notified Trooper John L. Lowman.. The Washington Rescue Squad was summoned. ,}* Dr. John P. Snead pronounced Alther dead. Clatterbuck suffered only minor cuts.-The Rescue Squad took the body to Updike Funeral Parlor, Washington. I
