Activities to be engaged in by the county committee in support of this PMT program include addressing and preparing the individual envelopes for mailing, holding a tree planting demonstration or tour later this fall, arranging for personal contracts with landowners to encourage them to reforest idle acres, publicizing the program through local newspapers and club meetings, and assisting in the sale of “Plant More Trees” car bumper strips. In addition, one or more numbers of the committee plan to represent Rappahannock County at the annual meeting of Virginia Forests, Inc., in February, when a report 'on the progress of the program in each county will be called for.
