The Woman s Missionary Society of the Washington Baptist Church met in the church, Tuesday, October 4 at 2:30 p.m. The president, Mrs. Frank Jones, was in charge of the program. Mrs. C. G. Reid led the devotional- and Mrs. Frank Wood, “Come Women—Today.” Others present were Mrs. YV. C. Campbell, Mrs. D. C. Updike, Mrs. G. L. Updike Mrs. Frank Moffett, Miss Lottie Burton, Miss Margaret Compton.
The following officers were elected for the coming year: Mrs. Frank Jones, president; Mrs. L. J. Turner, Vice president; Mrs. John A. Keyser, Secretary; Miss Margaret Compton, Treasurer; Mrs. Frank Wood, Home Hussions Chairman.
All persons who are willing to donate their time and energies to the service -of the Washington Methodist Church this Saturday are asjeed to come and help Us paint the outside of the church. If you can use a wire.brush, paint scraper, or paint brush, please call Washington 2851 and ask for Jack Barber. We want to start work at 8 a.m. so come give us an hour or two,—or more. f. .
