Represents State At A .C.E. Meeting
G. Tyler Miller, president of Madison College, and the son.of Mrs. John J. Miller of Flint Hill, will represent the State and serve as one of 12 resources specialists at ,the annual meeting-of the*American Council on Education, Thurs- — day and Friday at Washington, D. C
Mr. Miller, who is president of the Association of Virginia Colleges, last February presented an extensive study of the problen^ of meeting mounting enrollments in the State to the Virginia college group.
The 12x resource specialists attending the national council meeting will discuss their enrollment problems. "Goals and Progress in Planning for the Future of Higher Education” will be the central theme of the gathering.
Rabid Cow
A cow head taken to the Luray laboratory by Milton C. Gore, Washington, last week, showed positive when tested for rabies.
According to the report from " George R. Jones,' Bacteriologist, received October 1: “The cow was Dipped by Mr. Gore and he first * noticed symptoms September 22. Dr. B. M. Graves, veterinarian, of Culpeper, seemed to think the animal had dumb rabies. The cow died September 28th.”
A bull, owned by the Gores, 'died a week before the cow and a . calf has since died. No definite cause of death for these 2 animals has been determined.
