On the supply side, commercial broilers coming to market will be about 18% above last year through most of September, dropping to 12 per cent above by the end of October and about five per cent, above by the end of November.

However, eggs set are still rising. They were 18 per cent above last year this past week. This means more broilers coming to market in December.

Egg prices, nearing theiir seasonal peak, probably are in for some* more fluctuations, but no major changes, for the next, two or three weeks.

Ups and downs are normal until prices settle into their usual downward trend sometime between now and the middle of November.

This week, adjustments probably will be downward among Virginia markets. The New York marker broke six to seven cents last week and Richmond dropped three cents. Other areas largely held steady, but probably will come down some.
