Council Members
At th« annual meeting- of the Shenandoah Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, held at the George Washington Hotel, Winchester, September 30, Judge R. V. Snead addressed the Scouters following dinner. Pointing out that surveys show 4 out of every 5 boys want to be Scouts, he emphasized, the importance of adults giving of their time to help in the Scout program of Character Building and Citisenship Training. He said, “The co-operation, friendship, skills of looking after oneself, learning to live .the Scout Oath and Law, which Scouting brings to a boy, is paying great returns in the world today.”
Philip N. Hunter, Martinsburg, W. Va., was elected President of the Shenandoah Area Council. It was a culminating honor for Mr. Hunter who has served the Council outstandingly for 22 years. The
