He is a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, the highest honor attainable in this Scouting service organisation. In 1945 he was presented the Silver Beaver, the highest honor a Local Council can bestow for service to Scouting. Hunter, who is assistant manager for the Potomac Light and Power Company, Martinsburg, W. Va., is also a leader in civic service and church work. He is a native of Berkeley Springs, W. Va.
In closing, the President called attention to the Annual Community Chest Campaigns, starting in October in three counties of the Council, and emphasised the hn-. portanee of all Scooters giving their full suppport to the Chest campaigns in their respective communities. He also announced October 25 as the kick-off date for the Virginia Statewide Co-ordinated Scout Fund Drive, in all cities and counties outside of the Community Chest areas.
