Lawrence Williams, 26, of Chester Gap, was severely burned last week in an accident Securing at the Old Virginia Packing Company in Front Royal. He is undergoing treatment at the Warren Memorial Hospital, where he will be a patient for 3 weeks. Condition is reported as satisfa^ory.
Lawrence, was burned ion the^ back and arms when a lid on a cooker of apple sauce bltw off, spattering him with hot apple sauce. Several other persons; whose identities were not learned, renuired -medical care but were not injured as severely as Williams. They were back on the job the following afternoon.
“The accident occured last Tuesday night at 11 o’clock when apples being processed in the apple sauce cooker backed up jto the pump unit. This caused a bjiild up of pressure which blew off ithe lid of the cooker. Mr. Williams, the apple sauce cooker, was standing
