The Slate Mills Home Demonstration will meet at 7:30 Thurv day evening, October 20th at the home of Mrs. Robert J. Boyd, with the program on the subject of “Good Lighting for Health and Safety.”
Last Thursday, Mrs. Clarence B. Dorsey, Mrs. Olney Kennedy, Mrs. Waver W. Kennedy and Mrs. George W. Thornhill were in Charlottesville for the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Fields and her sister, Miss Margaret Davis, of Culpeper and his sister, Mrs. Mabel F. Benton’ of Orange were Friday callers on Mrs. Jennie Miller and her sisters, Mrs. Bertha Reese and Miss Lizzie Miller.
On Saturday, Mrs. Garbiel Hoffman and her young daughter, Shirley Anne spent the day wiith Mr. and Mrs. Robinson Pullen.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur T. Colbert of Washington D. C. spent the week end at “Hawthorne House,” their country home near Slate Mills.
