• Mr. and Mrs. Frederic A. McCleary, of Bethesda, Maryland, have recently purchased a 580 acre tract of land, including the Chester Gap Orchard, (9,000 trees) from Mrs. Lucy Wood of Flint Hill. Mr. McCleary is employed by the Government. - A home and 37 acre tract, known as the Mary Turner Land, near Woodland Church, Culpeper County, has been purchased by Boyd R. Coffey of Mitchell. Mr. Coffey is an employee of the State Highway Department. JThese

OYSTER SUPPER OCTOBER 21 AT AMISSV1LLE * The ladies of the auxiliary will be in charge of an oyster supper, to be held in the Amissville Fire Hall October 21, from 5:30 to 8:30.
The menu will consist of oysters — fried or stewed — french fries, baked tomatoes, cole slaw, celery, pickles, olives, hot rolls or biscuits, coffee or tea and homemade pie.
Tickets are now on sale by members of the Auxiliary at f 1.00 per plate. Come out and get a good supper.
