In November Drive

The annual membership! drive will begin this year on Monday, November 7, and continue through out the week. The memberships are 50c per person and will entitfe one to attend any P.T.A. meetings or programs. The participation;in the P.T.A. brings a closer tie between home and school, which is beneficial to both. Parents should put this on their “must” list. PARENTS VISITING DAY

Parents Visiting Day will be November 11, this year. Please try to come to school this year and visit your child's classroom, inspect the school, meet your child’s friends and get to know their teachers.

TEACHERS EXPLAIN HOIV READING’S TAUGHT What’s new in school ? Come to your Parent-Teacher Association meetings and get the latest. Af our last meeting we had a very interesting discussion about reading, as it is taught in the primary grades. Can’t your child spell f Or maybe he can’t read well enough to suit you. If this is the case, our own panel of experts can sdrely help you. Miss Mary Jenkins, Mrs. Leonard and Mrs. Cox were on hand to explain current teaching problems concerning reading, phonics versus phonetics.
