About 200 railbirds showed up at' the Culpeper Horse Show Grounds last Saturday to see the third annual Rappahannock Hunt and Hazelmere Hounds Hunter Trials. The weather was ideal in contrast to last year’s Hurricane Hazel. !
Five hunts were represented in . the various classes and the Rappahannock Hunt entry in the hunt team class turned in a nearly perfect performance to beat five other teams. Neville Wood, riding; her own My Pride*, brought Home the Reserve. Championship being only one point behind Oliver Durant, II’s Trafalgar which just returned from Tennessee where he was entered in the 3-Day Event. .

Traffic on the highway came to a startled halt as nine enthusiastic juniors followed 15 couple of hounds running a drag-around the steeplechase course. Judging by the whoops and hollers, this was a popular class with the spectators who also cheerfully helped round up the hounds afterwards.
The exhibitors and their guests were invited to at party in the dub house after the trials. x
