The goals set by our Federation of H. D. Clubs, the jfxr of assistance by Extension Servn: and the wiilopness of our Agent leaves us hut oi rselves to blame if our County is not outstanding in every way—health, nutrition, homes, happiness, etc. At present, there are ten organized H. D. Clubs with a total of 257 members in Rappahannock Co.; Amissville, Flint Hill, Washington, Sperryville, Woodville, F. T. Valley, Slate Mills, Castleton, Viewtown and Huntly.
Beside H. D. Club guidance, demonstration etc, plus 4-H Club work, our Home Agent in 1955, through September, made visits to 101,1 homes in the County to give information requested. She has had 40 result demonstrations in improvement of kitchens, living , rooms, installation of wafer, house remodeling, etc.
Some of the community activities of H. D. Clubs in our County in 1955 are as follows:
H untly—Money to R e a g e r School for use of school paper, aft paper, pencils, games, etc.
Flint Hill — $5.00 for street lights, 4 4-H leaders helping with community and County 4-H activities.
Washington — Gift to deserving family at Easter.
Sperryvilte — Work with 4-H clubs, 4 4-H leaders in charge of summer projects and help with all county projects.
