It ’has been charged that Virginians are being rushed into making a decision on such an important matter as the question of amending the Constitution. Actually, Virginians will have ample time to consider the question carefully. They will have to vote twice. On January 9th they will vote on the question of calling a referendum election to decide whether or not to Vote a second time when they elect their delegates to the constitutional , convention. Even then, the delegates to the convention are not necessarily bound to adopt the proposals of the Gray Commission. Undoubtedly, there will be considerablf debate in the constitutional assembly itself. The alternative method of amending the Constitution is a lengthy one which would have delayed action until well into 1958. , It is the duty of every Voter to bear in mind that no matter what action is taken in Warren County, we shall most certainly be affecte jf by what happens in other sections of the state.
