Robert W. Keyser of Luray, filed his candidacy on January 27 for the State Constitutional Conset
in vention, which has been Richmond for Kerch 5. The special election will be held on February 21, 1966, with the voting
at the regular precincts as jin the general election. Ur. Keyser is a former Mayor of the Town of Luray arid has been in the active practice of law since 1926, and in addition thereto was ordained a minister of the Regular Baptist Denomination in 1961. He has been pastor of the Fife Forks church and is at present, pastor of the Thornton’! Gap Church, both of this county.

Set Home Carnival

A Home Carnival, which i may include a parade, was planned by the Washington Firemen in their February meeting, held Tuesday lygfat in,, the • firehouse. The tentative date is August, 16, 17, 18;
Arrangements are now being made for tickets for the Riant give-away—-a 1966 Ford, 2-door.
Charlie Jenkins, chief, appointed a committee to go over the present roll, and strike off uninterested members and members who have moved to different communities, or out of town. This list will be presented at the next meeting, to be voted on by the firemen.
Fourteen members attended the meeting. Secretary T. M. Johnson read the minutes, and other matters of importance were discussed.
