Following a message from the president on “Things Money Cannot Buy,”, or “Friends Who Just Stand By,” the business evening was discussed. It tided by the six members . that it is not necessary to sound the siren for the regular monthly meeting. f | The Bring and Buy Book Sale, scheduled for last Saturday did not go oyer, so some disposition should be made of the magazines and booklets. It, was agreed to give them to the inmates at the county jail. Furthermore, it was idopted, at the suggestion of'Mrs. A. M. Hickman, to t|ke this as a community project, the .collecting of magazines, books, etc. every two or three months, an| take them around to the sick or to the jail. i. Mrs. C. T. Bruce, a member of the* plan of work committee,/presented the plan to thej group. After »several minor changes, it was adopted. Among the new plans are: having a hostess at each meting of the auxiliary whjo would take an alloted amount from the treasury and serve refreshments to the members; vote at th|e end of {he year, by Secret ballot, for a ‘Member of the Year, and honor, thusly, the most active Auxiliary member for that year; and have the

following projects: For j March, each member would have an individual project for, making money ; For April, a fried chicken dinner; For May. a bake sale; For June, a carnival; For July’ a lawn party; For September, a White Elephant Sale; For October, cleaning and checking the equipment in the kitchen; and Ifor December, nominating' the most active member, playing Christmas music on -records, ringing bells New Years Eve, and electing officers.
