Mrs. Mary Francs* Revercomb
After serving: as postmistress of the Peols Mills Post Office for 37 years, Mrs. Mary Frances Revercomb retired recently when the post office was officially closed. .
Mrs. Revercomb began her work in October of 1918 and was appointed to the position of postmaster, under Civil Service, December 28, 1918, when Albert ,S.Burlesson was Postmaster General of the United States.
Her record of efficiency is proved by the fact that in the entire 87 years of service, only 1 money order was spoiled. Mrs. Revercomb the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lewis Weaver, spent most of her life near Boston. She and her husband, J. G. ReverconA, for many years have operated a store at Peola Mills. They are now closing the store.
Not only will the Peola Mills citisens miss the services of the post office and the convenience of the store, but they will also miss their daily with Hie friendly and helpful postmistress* For the 37 years of public service, the community pays tribute to Mrs. Revercomb.
