James W. Fletcher, attonwy, ■was on hand to offer his service in setting up the charter for the corporation and help on any otner problems that might arise. Mr. Fletcher being familiar with the operation of the other fire companies in the county, was of great help in getting this company set up.
The majority of the people voted . to rail the new company, Castletbn Community Volunteer Fire Company.
Charles C. Gasch, who has been with a fire company in Maryland, for 25 years and is going to donate the fire truck and a 1500 gallon water supply truck to theorganization was elected president. Other officers elected were: H. G. Wayland, vice-president, Ray Cannon,
chief, Ai F. Cannon, 1st assistant chief, C. D. Scott, 2nd assistant chief, Donald Romine, secretary Daniel Jacobs treasurer. The board of directors selected are the
same elected officers with one adj ditional member elected, Richard ' Trout. The board will meet on Friday night May 11th at 8 o’clock at the home of Ray Cannon to discuss further business. '
The first thing the Company needs now is a siren to be located outside on some building in the community to call the firemen together in case of fire.Any donation to this cause will be greatly ap-1 predated.

Castleton Firemen
Answer Two Calls
Though not formally organized, the Castleton Volunteer Fire Department answered two brush fire calls in the Eggbomsville vicinity, Culpeper County, Saturday.
One fire was under control upon arrival, so the men continued to a blaze they spotted from that section: Within a-few minutes the firemen were on the scene and had the fire under control with the help of the local fire warden. Later the Culpeper Volunteer Department was on the scene and helped in extinguishing the burning brush. 1
