It may sound odd now but yet it may not be too unusual in the near future for farmers to call their fertiliser dealer and request that he come out and gas his corn field. Fact is, a couple o'f corn fields here in Rappahannock will be gassed Tuesday, May 8th, that is if nothing'happens making it necessary to alter present plans..
Earl Kilby and Bernie Dahl* gren are co-operating with the Piedmont Field Station of Orange and the Olin Matheson Chemical Corporation of Baltimore in conducting experiments designed to determine the value of gaseous nitrogen in com fertilization as compared to nitrogen from a 10-10-10 analysis mixed goods fertilizer and to nitrogen from nitrate of soda.
Farmers interested will be welcomed.
