SELECTIVE SERVICE

A special Selective Service College Qualification Test will be held on, Thursday, May 17, 1956, for those students, who for reasons beyond their control, were unable to take the regularly scheduled tests on November 17, 1955. and April 19, f956, Major General Lewis B. Hershey, Director of Selective Service announced today.

General Hershey stated that applications for the May 17, 1956, test must be postmarked not later than midnight May 7th 1956.

The . special test will be administered by Science Research Associates, Inc.; of Chicago which has established approximately 1, 000 testing centers at colleges and universities throughout the United States and in Alaska, the Canal Zone, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

In order to be eligible to apply for the special test to be given on May 17, 1956, a student need not have applied for one of the previous tests.

General . Hershey stated that* applicants for the special test will receive assistance in filling out their application cards from local board clerks.
