Supervisor Buckner stated that there were counties twice as large as Rappahannock that were not using near as much welfare funds. Several of the supervisors said they believed some of the welfare grants were being unwisely used, by the applicants, and said mess-, ores should be studied to remedy the misuse. Mrs. Buntin asked that the supervisors look not only at the few cases where money was misused, but also at the many cases cwhepe the money was being used to the best advantage.
Chairman W. C. Campbell vacated the chair to make a motion to give Mrs. Buntin the |41.00 required for the old age assistance. As no second was made ta' the motion, it died.
