National Home Demonstration Week is being observed throughout the country this week (April 29-May 5).

This 11th annual observance is being noted by almost 5,800,000 homemakers who take part in the work throughout the nation. “Today’s Home Builds Tomorrow’s World” is the theme for the week.

Miss Maude E. Wallace, assistant director of the VPI Agricultural Extension Service, points out that home demonstration work is an educational program planned by homemakers and conducted cooperatively by the Extension Service of the U. S. Department of Agriculture, the land-grant colleges, and county governments.
