Prime steers were as much as $1 lower on the Chicago market jest week; other grades, $1 to $3 tower, with good to average choice grades ranging.from $19 to $27.

In Virginia, good steers were $18.50 to $21.75; low choice, $23 to $24.

FEEDER CALF SALES

3,700 calves sold in last week's feeder sales brought about the same as last year’s prices. 500 more head were sold than at the same sales last year, and spread between steer and heifer prices was the same.

The Roanoke, Buena Vista, Monterey and Lynchburg sales brought:

Steers: Choice and Fancy $2224; Good $20-22 Medium $17-19.

Heifers: Choice andFancv $1718.75; Good $15-17.50; Medium $12-15.50.
