History records that during the Revolutionary War whole congregations left the established Church of England and joined the Raptist and .other churches abandoning and selling, church property.

It is certainly true that thlc same fapiily names appear in the Records

, of both churches. No one jlcnows which church inherited the Silver Dipper, but it is definitely known that members of both drank from it and out of the same jspring.
