Residents of the town of Washington were highly delighted Saturday night when the Street lights came on. Some of them commented that they hadn’t realized just how much they meant to their safety and comfort until they had stumped around in the dark for three nights in a row.Iights have gone out before, but only for severaT hours. Company workers were reported to have said that they thought transformers had been “tampered” with. Nobody liked that explanation.
Judge R. V. Snead and Mrs. Snead was in Charlottesville Sunday to see Dr. and Mrs. John W. Ruskin. Going over, they stopped at Woodberry Forest for their son, Ray who accompanied them to Charlottesville.
